The most interesting game of round 16 was only one-point a home defeat of 3rd ranked BahrainAl-Muharraq (2-3) to second ranked UAE Shabab Al Ahli (3-2) 84-83 . It ended the two-game winning streak of Al-Muharraq . It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 21-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Deshawndre Washington (201, college: NM State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Dikembe Dixson (201-1996, college: UIC) who added 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Shabab Al Ahli players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Nick West (210-1994, college: AAMU) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and Tim Bond (201-1995, college: EMU) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Defending UAE champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Kuwait and Al-Ula. Defending Bahrain champion Al-Muharraq keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Al Arabi and Al Sharjah. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
